Tye Dentist's Picnic

Tye's dentist had this great picnic at Eagle Island State Park for all the families that visit him. It was a great picnic with food and activities for the kids!

Tye's Endoscopy

Recovering
Dad went in with him until he fell asleep!

He decorated his breathing mask with stickers and picked out a flavor of chap stick that they smeared in it to cover up the bad smelling gas. Our hospital is fantastic!

Tye did such a great job getting ready for his endoscopy! Amazingly Tye has been eating and gaining a ton of weight since about a week before this procedure. He is up more than a pound since this picture. He must have overheard us talking about a feeding tube:) My theory is that he is just feeling better since getting ear tubes. He was eating well before last Christmas...then it all went down hill after that. I guess anyone who has 5 ear infections in just a few months would not feel good enough to eat. Right after his tubes were put in he also had a stomach virus so we did not notice him eating more until that was resolved. All tests came back normal which was great news from Dr. Thompson. We are going to just hope that the eating continues!!

Feeding Group

Tye has graduated from the birth-3 program here in Idaho called the Infant/Toddler Program. That means he can no longer attend their feeding group. These are pictures from his last day. The group started with sensory play the first half hour then the second half hour is at the table. Joan and Amy are the two O.T.'s that ran the group and are in the pictures with Tye. It was sad to say goodbye...Tye enjoyed the time there. Mostly the play part of the hour. We began a new feeding group in SE Boise this week. They use the same approach as Tye is used to but he attends the group while I wait in the waiting room which will be different for both of us:) Tye still has difficulty eating enough to be a happy boy all the time so we will continue to use positive reinforcers, the DVD player and feeding group to help him.

The tea set was Tye's gift to the program.

Playing/touching the food is important even if he does not try it.

The sensory ball was also a gift from Tye to the program.

Tye's 3rd Birthday

We went to Wahooz for Tye's birthday. There were 12 kiddos (3 babies) in total and 11 adults...quite the party. We had pizza and opened presents first then off to the indoor play structure and arcade games. All the kids got 20 tokens to play games and a Thomas book to take home with them. It was a beautiful day so we spent some time outside where the Scout Dads even hit baseballs in the batting cage.

December Travels

Tye's Christmas present at home was a train table and train.
South Haven
One of my brothers, my sister and parents live here.
My mom took most of the South Haven pictures with her nice camera so I only had a few.

Grandma & Brooke

Grand Rapids
We met Cameron, Tye's NICU buddy, in Grand Rapids for the evening.

Cameron's new baby sister, Taylor. Yes, Marisa had a full term
baby after many months of bed rest.

Cleveland

Tye's good friend, Sienna. So cute sleeping together.

Opa & Brooke at the Browns game.

Shaunea, Sienna's mommy and my good friend, and Brooke
at the Browns game.

Another night together. Jim, Shaunea and Sienna
share their home with us when we are in Cleveland. It's so much
more fun to be with friends rather than in a hotel.

Ludington
We ran up to Ludington for the evening to go to
their Christmas parade and have pizza with Bob's family.
Bob was in Cleveland so my mom and dad took us with a stop
in Grand Haven on the way.

It was a ton of traveling for one month but fun to see everyone. Tye suffered upon returning home from the lack of routine in the eating and sleeping departments. Next trip may be condensed to make sure his health is not compromised. We are planning our next trip in May to attend a wedding. We are looking forward to visitors here in Idaho in the spring and summer.
